See who is close to you — right now

A simulation,
not a scanner

This page invents the people. A browser cannot use Bluetooth the way the app does, so nothing here discovers anyone — it lets you feel how Ahoy behaves before you install the Android test build. The words on the phone are the app’s own.

Closeness is real. Direction is not.

Each ring is a rough closeness — very close, nearby, in range. Never metres. Which way someone sits means nothing, because Bluetooth cannot give a direction, so the circle keeps turning. Grey faces marked “No Ahoy” are Bluetooth devices without the app; tap one to invite someone.

A wave does not say who sent it

Press “Someone waves at you”: you are told that someone did, never who. Wave at the people you like — if one of them waved first, it is a match, and only then can you talk. A Super Wave is the one wave they see is from you; one a day is free.

Messages wait until you are near

Match, open the chat, press “Someone walks away”, then write. The message waits — with no server there is no honest way to deliver it at a distance. Press “Someone comes back” and it leaves.
